Ryan M. Hooper, Partner

Ryan M. Hooper represents clients in areas of practice that include land use, environmental law, and real estate law. Joining the firm in 2006, Mr. Hooper is licensed to practice before all State Courts of California and the United States Federal Court for the Eastern District of California.

Mr. Hooper represents a multitude of high profile developers, homebuilders, and property owners in connection with some of the region’s most significant and often complex residential, commercial, and industrial development projects that have literally changed the landscape and skyline of the region. Additionally, Mr. Hooper has extensive experience with matters concerning zoning and planning issues, state and federal environmental permitting, Subdivisional Map Act compliance, and the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). He also frequently represents clients before local, state, and federal agencies.

Mr. Hooper’s sense of community responsibility is a hallmark of both his personal and professional life. In this regard, Mr. Hooper has served on the Board of Directors of the Sacramento Tree Foundation from 2010 to 2022, and served as its Board President form 2016-2018. Mr. Hooper also supports the Salvation Army and the Crocker Art Museum, in addition to his significant involvement in the Building Industry Association of the Metro Chamber of Commerce.

A native of Sacramento, California, Mr. Hooper graduated from the University of California at Davis before earning his Juris Doctorate degree from McGeorge School of Law in 2005.
